Heather Chandler, LMSW
I take a holistic approach to therapy, recognizing that our emotional well-being is shaped by many parts of our lives, including our experiences, relationships, and the day-to-day demands we carry. I see therapy as a space to slow things down, better understand what you’re going through, and begin to find ways forward that feel supportive and realistic for you.
I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, and stress, and I aim to offer a space that feels calm, open, and free of judgment. You do not have to have everything figured out to start. This can simply be a place to talk, process, and feel heard.
I have a strong interest in supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, and the ongoing experience of motherhood. I also understand how challenging it can be to navigate shifts in identity, including career changes or life paths that do not always go as planned. These experiences can bring up uncertainty, pressure, or a sense of being in between, and having space to work through that can be really important.
My approach is collaborative and centered around what you need. Some days that may look like talking things through, and other days it may be building tools or finding small ways to feel more steady. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Stony Brook University. Before entering the field, I spent over a decade working in marketing, which shaped how I listen, connect, and understand people’s experiences from different perspectives.
Reaching out can feel like a big step. If you are considering it, I am here to meet you where you are.
