I often meet with people who are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or depressed. Maybe you have lost the sense of joy that you used to have. Or maybe you've been having trouble sleeping or getting through your everyday activities. I’ve worked with folks who are a little skeptical about therapy, but still feeling out of shift with their peers or feeling abnormal in some way. You may experience social anxiety and have been feeling a lack of confidence lately. You'd like to be more supportive in your relationships and hope to overcome negative feelings and emotions.
I believe in an action-oriented approach. We will work together to identify unhelpful thought patterns and change them. We'll create focused plans to change behaviors. We'll work within the therapeutic relationship to create honesty and trust, and in turn, you'll begin to see that happening in your life.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked for ten years in the music and book publishing industries. Having a career and switching careers, has allowed me to work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds. Together, we can identify problems and create goals.
